| Under this department we offer courses of Agronomy for the undergraduate degree programme in the faculties of Agriculture. This is an specialized branch of agriculture dealing with crop production and soil management. This depatment mainly concern with land preparation, seeds and sowing, ferilizer management, irrigation scheduling, plant protection, harvestng and threshing, seed production and their processing. Department of Agronomy, in the Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Agriculture, Talsande is a huge department, carrying out teaching activities. The staffs are actively involved in conducting teaching, on-farm activities, educational tours, which make the students be well versed with the subject. |
