Mr. Ranjeet R. Patil

Mr. Ranjeet Raghunath Patil is an Head of Department in the Department of Agricultural Entomology at Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Agriculture, Talsande. He completed his B.Sc. (Agriculture) from Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri, and M.Sc. (Agricultural Entomology) from Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at SR University, Warangal, Telangana, and qualified the ASRB-NET in Agricultural Entomology in 2021. His research interests include integrated pest management, biological control, stored grain pest management, beneficial insects and sustainable crop protection. He has published 11 research papers, 2 conference papers, 3 book chapters and authored one book. He also holds two patents, including an AI-based Animal Belt and a Wind-cum-Solar Operated Sprayer System. Mr. Ranjeet Patil has received several recognitions, including the Young Entomologist Award and Excellent Krushisevak Agricultural Expert Award. He actively participates in national and international conferences, professional training programmes and academic societies, contributing to teaching, research, innovation, and extension in agricultural entomology.

Ms. Madhuri N. Kengare

Ms. Madhuri Namdev Kengare is a dedicated agricultural professional specializing in Agricultural Entomology, with a strong academic background and valuable experience in agricultural research and higher education. She is committed to promoting quality education, scientific research, and sustainable agricultural practices through teaching, research, and extension activities.

She completed her Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Agriculture (Entomology) from Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth (DBSKKV), Dapoli, one of Maharashtra’s premier agricultural universities. During her postgraduate studies, she developed expertise in insect pest management, integrated pest management (IPM), biological control, crop protection, insect ecology, and research methodology. Her academic training enabled her to gain a comprehensive understanding of sustainable approaches to crop protection and modern agricultural practices.

Following the completion of her postgraduate education, Ms. Kengare worked as a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at the Rice Research Station, Karjat, where she was actively involved in agricultural research related to rice production and pest management. During this tenure, she conducted field trials, Company and University research trials, laboratory experiments, monitored insect pest populations, evaluated pest management strategies, collected and analyzed experimental data, maintained research records, and contributed to scientific reports and project activities. This experience enhanced her research skills and provided practical exposure to multidisciplinary agricultural research.

Currently, Ms. Kengare is serving at D. Y. Patil Agriculture College, Talsande, where she is actively involved in teaching undergraduate students in the field of Agricultural Entomology. She delivers classroom lectures, conducts practical sessions, guides students in laboratory and field experiments, and participates in academic planning, curriculum implementation, and student mentoring. She also contributes to extension activities, seminars, and institutional programs aimed at strengthening the link between agricultural education and farming communities.

Ms. Madhuri Kengare believes that agricultural education should combine scientific knowledge with practical field applications. Her teaching philosophy focuses on creating an engaging learning environment that nurtures curiosity, innovation, and professional ethics.

She has consistently demonstrated dedication, discipline, teamwork, and a strong commitment to academic excellence. Her professional goal is to contribute to agricultural research, quality education, and sustainable farming systems while supporting the development of skilled agricultural graduates capable of addressing future challenges in agriculture.

Through her research experience and teaching career, Ms. Madhuri Namdev Kengare continues to make meaningful contributions to the field of agricultural sciences. She aspires to pursue advanced research, participate in national and international academic forums, publish scientific research, and contribute to the advancement of agricultural education and technology for the benefit of society.
