Plant Pathology is one of the principle disciplines of agriculture science which deals with principles and practices for Disease management for crop yield improvement. This department includes the different section like Agricultural Microbiology, Bio-fertilizer production, and Mushroom production. The major mandate of the department is teaching of Under Graduate students of Agriculture. It imparts technical, practical knowledge of crop disease management by offering eight undergraduate courses. The department is well equipped with field and laboratory facilities with sophisticated instruments viz. Autoclaves, Hot Air Oven, Cooling centrifuge, BOD incubators, Laminar air flow benches, Distillation unit, Microscope, etc. Department has the privilege of having the fleet of most experienced and dedicated faculty members with diversified areas of specialization. Majority of faculty possessing Ph.D., National eligibility test (NET) and many of them acquired training and have regular participation in the national and international Seminars and Symposia in the country.
